I love working with Seniors and have had 2 so far who were 88, two reached 87, and some of them still dance!    I also have a lot of clients who might qualify numerically as Seniors, in their 60s and 70s.  Age is just a number, right?

What else is great about taking up Pilates as a Senior?  Learning something new keeps our brains active.  Pilates isn’t just “exercise.”  It’s really stimulating for the Mind.

Some common concerns of Seniors:

  • “I am afraid of falling and not sure if I trust my balance.”
  • “I am not as flexible as I used to be and having a harder time reaching the top shelf.”
  • “I need to increase my strength
  • “I was told that I am losing bone density.  Is there something I can still do?”
  • “I want to be able to keep walking, or gain mobility.”

Falling can cause injury no matter what age we are, but we are more susceptible to debilitating injury as we get older.

And in order to stay as self-sufficient as possible, we need to work on strength, balance, agility, and more.  I love showing people how to do just that.
